Tyler Cooley has been dismantling appliances and splicing them together since age seven and drawing since around twelve. After attending Sarasota County Technical Institute for automotive repair and working in the field for two years, the wasteful practices of the industry and almost total stagnation from art wore thin at his conscience.
Tyler decided to do something with his art and studied computer animation at Fullsail University. However, a second round through college only served to disillusion him to the parasitic nature of the media industry. Now 27, Tyler has merged his childhood fascination with machinery with his artistic and technical skills to create highly detailed sculptures that bring the obsolete back to life and force us to question our insatiable lust for new technology.
Tyler currently resides in Orlando, Florida.
The details and designs imparted, conceptually and physically, into your sculptures and drawings have been inspiring me for years. Your art rules!
